N-2 Suite in Eliot Comfortably Houses -1 Residents

Talk about cozy living! We took a tour of a n-2 suite in Eliot that houses -1 people.

At first glance, this single-room suite may look underwhelming. There aren’t even zero chairs and desks. However, keep in mind the space isn’t meant to house one person—let alone zero people. With limited space in Eliot, architects had to make tough decisions, and this included building suites designed for -1 people.

Due to larger class sizes, two extra people were forced to live in this suite. We interviewed him.

“It’s so crowded. I don’t even know how they made this suite work for negative one people. Nobody should be living here. Scratch that—less than nobody should be living here,” shared Smidgen M. Crampus ‘26.

Flyby was invited to take a tour of the suite, but with four total people inside, we were violating fire code. Crampus shared, “If my proctor finds out, he’ll flip. I hate that he lives in all three rooms next door, and two above and below.”

The worst part, Crampus said, is sharing -1 hallway bathrooms with 12 other people.
